OWL Tutoring

Live tutoring from certified retired educators.

OWL Tutoring is delivered through the OWL Platform (wiseowl.live), owned and operated by PSC SGO Administrators PBC. ARTF places credentialed retired teachers with K–12 students; the OWL Platform is where instruction actually happens.

What is the OWL Platform?

The OWL Platform, purpose-built for retired-educator tutoring.

The OWL Platform is a live-online tutoring platform designed specifically for certified retired educators to teach K–12 students. It handles matching, scheduling, the video classroom, tutor certification, messaging, progress tracking, and family visibility in one place. It lives at wiseowl.live.

The OWL Platform is owned and operated by PSC SGO Administrators PBC — not by ARTF. ARTF recruits, vets, and places certified retired educators onto the platform, and refers scholarship-eligible families to it as part of ARTF's tutoring program.

  • Certified retired educators

Every tutor is a credentialed, experienced teacher — not a college student, part-timer, or gig worker. OWL certification is tiered by subject and grade band.

  • Live, online, scheduled

One-on-one and small-group sessions run over the OWL Platform video classroom, on a schedule the family and tutor agree to.

  • Standards-aligned

Sessions are mapped to state standards and to the student's classroom work, with lightweight progress notes shared with parents.

  • Safe by design

Background-checked tutors, recorded sessions, in-platform messaging, and parent visibility on every appointment.

Common questions

Is the OWL Platform the same as ARTF?
No. The OWL Platform is owned and operated by PSC SGO Administrators PBC. ARTF is a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit that places certified retired educators onto the OWL Platform and helps families access tutoring through it.
Who can be a tutor?
Certified retired educators — not part-timers, not gig workers. Tutors must pass a background check and complete OWL certification for their subject and grade band. Apply to Tutor.
Is tutoring free for families?
Cost and scholarship eligibility depend on the program and the family's situation. Once ARTF is operational, eligible families will be able to apply for scholarship-funded sessions. Pricing details live on wiseowl.live.
